Box Score CINCINNATI – The University of Dayton women's tennis team finished competition at the Xavier Invitational facing off in doubles matches against Memphis and Cincinnati and a singles match against Xavier.

The Flyers opened Sunday with Memphis, taking the No. 3 doubles match against the Tigers. Senior
Natalie Stanton and junior
Erica Wojcikiewicz defeated Miriam Grosmann and Meredith Jones 6-3, the pair's first victory as a duo this season.

Dayton followed that with a doubles matchup against Cincinnati, with junior
Paige Kompa and freshman
Neena Katauskas getting a win on Court One against the duo of Ioana Guna and Emma Miceli 6-4. This gave the Flyers a doubles victory against all three opponents from the event.

Katauskas continued that into singles play with a three-set victory in the top singles flight over Xavier's Kat Lyman 2-6, 6-3, 10-5. It marked the second win of the weekend for the freshman after defeating Guna of Cincinnati in No. 1 singles on Saturday.

Kompa finished off the weekend for Dayton with a win by retirement on Court Four over Bella Kirby.

The Flyers will finish the fall season next weekend at the Butler Invitational on Oct. 2-3 in Indianapolis.
