DAYTON – The University of Dayton women's soccer team returned home to Baujan Field on Sunday to kick off a three-match homestand, the first of which a Sunday matinee against the IUPUI Jaguars. After going down a goal late in the first half, the Flyers battled back to get one of their own in the second frame, securing a 1-1 draw. Sunday's match was the first ever between the Jaguars and Flyers, Dayton's second consecutive draw in the last two matches.

KEY MOMENT
After a Flyer turnover in the 32
nd minute, IUPUI's Elizabeth Bueckers took the ball herself, dribbling in and netting the ball to
Madelyn Dewey's right to put the Jags on top. After the halftime break, the Flyers went on the offensive, registering 15 total shots in the second half. Dayton's break-through came in the 53
rd minute, as a
Diana Benigno cross was hit on a sliding volley by
Noel Blain, putting it past Jags keeper AP Woodall to tie the game at 1-1. Dayton would go on to hold a 6-2 advantage in shots in the two overtime periods, but were unable to push another goal across. In the 105
th minute, IUPUI's Autumn Weeks struck a beautiful ball that was headed to the top of the Flyer net, but freshman
Maddie Crosbie elevated off the ground and was able to tip the dangerous shot over the crossbar and out of harm's way. Dayton surrendered a late corner kick to the Jags in the final 30 seconds, but defended well to secure the draw.
