No. 19 Men’s Soccer Senior Day Spoiled In Loss To Saint Louis

The Flyers Dropped Their First Loss Of The Season

DAYTON - The University of Dayton men's soccer team suffered its first loss of the season in a 3-1 defeat to Saint Louis University Saturday night.

The Flyers (9-1-4, 3-1-3 A-10) drop their first Atlantic 10 contest while the Billikens (9-4-1, 5-1-1 A-10) picked up their ninth win of the campaign.    

Dayton had a senior day ceremony prior to the game recognizing the 11 departing seniors.  

KEY MOMENT
1st minute of second half – Dayton trailed just 1-0 at the halftime break, but Saint Louis doubled its lead in the 46th minute and that proved to be the decisive goal.

SCORING BREAKDOWN
  • 38:32 – Saint Louis scores to take a 1-0 lead.
  • 45:46 – The Billikens doubled its lead in the first minute of the second half.
  • 52:26 – The Billikens made it 3-0 in their favor.
  • 76:19 – Senior Ousseynou Cisse opened the scoring for the Flyers off the assist from fellow senior Xavier Zengue.
