DAYTON - The 19th-ranked University of Dayton men's soccer team heads back out on the road in Atlantic 10 action to take on St. Bonaventure Wednesday, Oct. 5 at 4 p.m. ET.
SCOUTING THE FLYERS
Dayton heads to Olean, N.Y. with an 8-0-1 record on the year and 2-0-1 A-10 mark. The Flyers have won three in a row and are 2-0 on the road this season, outscoring opposing teams 6-1 in those contests.
Head coach
Dennis Currier is in his 18th season in charge of the Flyers and was named Atlantic 10 Coach of the Year for the 2020 season.
As a team, the Flyers are averaging 3.22 goals per game and holding opponents to just 0.56 goals each outing. UD is out-shooting opponents 23.4 to 5.7 and at a higher percentage.

SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
ST. BONAVENTURE
St. Bonaventure hosts Dayton with a 3-6-1 record overall and 0-3 A-10 mark. The Bonnies are 2-3 at home this season and riding a two-game losing streak. SBU has not won at home since Sept. 5.
Head coach Kwame Oduro is in his eighth season at St. Bonaventure and guided the program to a 4-4-1 record last season.
The Bonnies are scoring just 0.9 goals each outing and giving up 1.3 goals to opponents. SBU is being out-shot 15.3 to 9.0 per game, but at a higher percentage.
Leading the Bonnies is Matthew Wrobel with five goals in eight games while Luca Nicastro has chipped in two goals and one assist. Nicolas Pucci and Jules Dechert have split time in goal with six and four starts respectively. Dechert has a lower goals against average a 1.00 goals per game, but both have 18 saves and a shutout on the year.
LAST OUTING
Dayton won its third straight game with a 4-0 victory over George Mason at home Saturday in A-10 play. The Flyers scored three goals in the second half alone and cruised to the win.
St. Bonaventure suffered a 1-2 defeat at La Salle Saturday, despite taking the initial lead in the 19th minute. The Explorers answered exactly one minute later, then went on to score the decisive goal in the 57th minute.
SERIES HISTORY
Dayton and St. Bonaventure have met 23 times previously with the Flyers holding a 14-8-1 advantage in the series. The Flyers dropped their last matchup though in 2021, 1-2 at home.
ATTACK MINDED
The Flyers are one of the most dangerous offenses in the country as they lead the nation in shots per game and shots on goal per game. Dayton also ranks second in scoring offense and goal differential, third in total goals, and third in points per game.
FLYERS RANKED 19TH IN USC POLL
In the latest United Soccer Coaches national rankings, Dayton moved up to 19th in the country after being No. 24 last week. The Flyers have been as high as 17 this year, and it's the fourth season in which they have been in the Top 25 (19th in 2013, 21st in 2009, 22nd in 2008).
BROWN NAMED A-10 DEF. PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Senior defender
Logan Brown was named A-10 Defensive Player of the Week on Oct. 3 after guiding the Flyers to wins over West Virginia and George Mason while allowing just one goal and earning their fifth shutout. Brown added an assist on the offensive end as well.
