KETTERING, Ohio - The University of Dayton men's and women's golf teams celebrated the opening of the programs' Player Development Center at NCR Country Club's Performance Center Saturday morning. The University of Dayton partnered with NCR CC, the programs' home course, and several generous donors to make this years-long project come to fruition.
The 8,000-square-foot Performance Center at NCR Country Club features a 1,600-square-foot putting and chipping green and six hitting bays. Each bay is equipped with
TrackMan 4 technology and provides the opportunity to hit completely inside or open the bay door and hit from inside onto the driving range.
The UD Player Development Center team room is branded with UD athletics logos and images and also features TrackMan 4 technology as well as a private putting area for team members. The programs also have access to one of the Performance Center's hitting bays.
University president Dr. Eric Spina, University vice president and director of athletics Neil Sullivan and Father Bob Jones were on hand for the dedication and blessing of the new Dayton athletics facility.
