Women's Soccer Drops A-10 Championship Match to Saint Louis

Flyers Fall To Billikens For Second Time This Season

Box Score SAINT LOUIS - The University of Dayton women's soccer team competed in the Atlantic 10 Championships on Sunday, as they took on the Saint Louis Billikens for the second time this season.

The Billikens took an early lead on a goal in the 20th minute, and would not turn back, as they went on to defeat the Flyers by a final score of 4-0. With the victory, Saint Louis wins the Atlantic 10 Championship for the fifth consecutive season. The Flyers finish the season with a 16-4-1 overall record, with still an outside chance to make the NCAA College Cup as an at-large bid when the NCAA announces the field of 64 on Monday, Nov. 7.

KEY MOMENT
Hannah Larson set the tone early in the match for the Billikens, as her 20th minute goal was partially a result of Saint Louis controlling the majority of the offense early in the match. With one of the top defenses in the country, the Billikens limited the Flyers to just two shots on goal throughout the match, and would get insurance tallies from Emily Gaebe, Hannah Friedrich, and Caroline Kelly.
