ST. LOUIS, Mo. - The University of Dayton men's soccer team battled top-seed Saint Louis University Wednesday night on the road for 110 minutes, but came up short in a penalty shootout.
The Flyers (10-3-4) took the initial lead, but the 20
th-ranked Billikens (12-4-1) were able to equalize in the second half and eventually advance to the A-10 Championship.

Penalty shootout – The Saint Louis goalkeeper made three saves in four attempts for the Flyers.
SCORING BREAKDOWN
- 17:35 – Senior Manny Day put the Flyers ahead first with a goal in the 18th minute on a shot from the far side of the goal across the keeper to the lower left corner. It was his sixth goal of the season and was assisted by sophomore Michael Adedokun, his team-leading sixth assist on the year.
- 75:16 – Saint Louis managed to tie the game up with a goal in the 76th minute against the run of play.
- Penalty Shootout – Saint Louis converted three of their attempts while Dayton converted one (Seth Antwi)
