SCOUTING THE FLYERS
Dayton is riding the second-longest winning streak in the country at 13 straight games and has a 19-3 record overall this year. The Flyers are 10-0 in Atlantic 10 play and sit atop the league standings. UD is also 9-1 at home this year with the lone loss coming to Duke on Nov. 12.
Head coach
Shauna Green is in her sixth season in charge of the Flyers and was named Atlantic 10 Coach of the Year 2020, her second time at UD. She ranks second all-time in program history in career wins.
As a team this year, Dayton is averaging 69.0 points per game and holding opposing teams to 56.5 points for a +12.5 margin. The Flyers are shooting 41.1 percent overall, 35.1 percent from three point range, and 68.0 percent from the free throw line. UD is outrebounding teams by a +7.7 margin.

SCOUTING VCU
VCU comes to Dayton with an 11-8 record on the season and 6-3 A-10 mark, putting them tied for fourth in the league. The Rams have won three in a row and sit at 3-2 on the year in road contests.
Head coach Beth O'Boyle is in her eighth season at VCU and already ranks second all-time in career wins for the Rams. She led them to the NCAA Tournament last season after winning the A-10 Championship.
This season, VCU is scoring 61.8 points each outing and allowing 58.8 points to opposing squads. The Rams are shooting 38.9 percent from the field, 32.4 percent from behind the arc, and 69.6 percent from the charity stripe. VCU is committing fewer turnovers than opponents, but is being outrebounded.
Leading the way for the Rams is Taya Robinson with 15.6 points and 5.1 rebounds per game and Sarah Te-Biasu with 12.6 points and 2.8 assists per contest.
LAST TIME OUT
Dayton went on the road to Saint Louis and earned a 69-54 victory over the Billikens in a day game. UD went on a fourth-quarter run sparked by Giacone's 21-point performance.
VCU earned its third straight A-10 win with a 56-53 decision over George Washington at home Sunday. Despite a low-scoring second half, the Rams did enough in the first half to earn the narrow win. Four players scored 9+ points.
THE SERIES
Dayton and VCU have played 14 times since the Rams joined the A-10 with the Flyers winning 10 of those meetings. VCU was victorious in their last contest however as the Rams eliminated the Flyers from the A-10 tournament last year though UD was the top-overall seed.
FLYERS IN REGULAR SEASON LEAGUE PLAY
Dayton has won 136 of its last 163 regular season Atlantic 10 games (.827), a streak that dates back to a 97-46 win over Rhode Island on Jan. 7, 2012, and includes a perfect 14-0 mark in conference play during the 2012-13 season.
THREE POINTS OF EXCELLENCE
Dayton has hit at least one three-point shot in 642 consecutive games dating back to Jan. 2, 2001, the longest streak in the Atlantic 10 Conference and one of the top streaks in the nation. The Flyers made a program-record 15 three-point field goals against Buffalo in the Connecticut World Vision Classic on Nov. 25, 2011. Dayton tied the record with 15 vs. Wright State on Nov. 28, 2012.
