DAYTON – The University of Dayton women's tennis team will host two matches this weekend, one against Marshall at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, and a second against Butler at 11 a.m. Both matches will take place at South Regency Tennis Center in Miamisburg.

Dayton enters the match 4-3 after winning two matches last weekend against Northern Kentucky and IUPUI. The Flyers took down the Norse 5-2 before taking every point against IUPUI on Saturday. Junior
Erica Wojcikiewicz went 4-0 between singles and doubles play in the two contests, earning her Atlantic 10 Women's Tennis Player of the Week honors.

Marshall enters the match with a 4-2 record after also winning twice last weekend. The Thundering Herd beat Eastern Michigan 6-1 on Friday before winning against Murray State 4-3 the next day. Emma Vanderheyden won all four of her matches from the weekend as well, all in the No. 1 singles and doubles flights, earning her Conference USA Women's Tennis Player of the Week honors as well.

Butler enters the weekend with an 0-3 record, but will host Milwaukee on Saturday before heading to Dayton to finish off the weekend. The Flyers lost at home to Cincinnati last Saturday and on the road at Ball State on Sunday. Natalie Boesing leads the Bulldogs at the No. 1 singles flight, sitting at 2-1 individually in dual match play.

UD has only played Marshall once, falling on Jan. 25, 2020 in Dayton. Butler holds a 12-2 series lead over the Flyers, dropping each of the past two contests in close 4-3 matches, with the most recent coming last March in Indianapolis.
