KINGSTON, R.I. - The University of Dayton softball team closed out its three-game Atlantic 10 series at Rhode Island with a 3-0 win over the Rams. Senior
Kelsey Gumm worked the complete-game shutout in the circle for the Flyers to record her second-consecutive win.
Dayton improves to 6-12 on the season and 2-1 in league action while Rhode Island moves to 5-13 overall and 1-2 in A-10 play.

Dayton will open the home portion of its 2022 schedule Saturday with an Atlantic 10 doubleheader against St. Bonaventure. The Flyers and Bonnies are set to get underway March 19 at 12 p.m. at UD Softball Stadium. Admission is free.
