Softball Takes Two From St. Bonaventure In Home-Opening A-10 Series

Junior Grace Gressly Was 7-for-11 with Six RBI in the Series

DAYTON - The University of Dayton softball team won its second-straight Atlantic 10 series after taking two of three games against St. Bonaventure at home this weekend. The Bonnies claimed game one, 6-2, early Sunday afternoon after the contest was restarted from Saturday's weather postponement. The Flyers notched back-to-back five-innings wins Sunday to close out the series.

Dayton is now 8-13 on the season and 4-2 in league action while St. Bonaventure moves to 2-13 overall and 1-5 in conference games.

GAME ONE
St. Bonaventure 6, Dayton 2
• 6 - freshman Haven Dwyer tallied a career-high six strikeouts in her first career complete game
• 2 - three Flyers tallied two hits in the game
Winning Pitcher: Ally Haskell (1-4) - 7.0 IP, 2 ER, 6 K, 4 BB

Dayton will played a midweek non-conference doubleheader Wednesday at Morehead State. First pitch between the Flyers and Eagles is set for 1 p.m. at MSU's University Field in Morehead, Kentucky.
