DAYTON - The University of Dayton softball team dropped a 7-3 decision to visiting Saint Joseph's Friday. The Hawks opened this weekend's three-game Atlantic 10 series with a win over the Flyers at UD Softball Stadium in cold and wet spring weather.
Dayton and Saint Joseph's finished the day with an 8-14 overall record and a 4-3 mark in conference games.

Dayton and Saint Joseph's are set to play a doubleheader Sunday beginning at 12 p.m. The original schedule for the three-game series between the Flyers and Hawks was adjusted to account for poor weather conditions forecasted for the Dayton area on Saturday.
