DAYTON - The University of Dayton softball team shutout visiting Butler, 6-0, Wednesday at UD Softball Stadium. Senior Kelsey Gumm and junior Sarah Bailitz combined for the shutout in the circle for the Flyers.

Dayton improves to 9-16 on the season while Butler moves to 18-9 overall.

• 2 - sophomore Kara Gunter was one of three Flyers with two hits on the day after going 2-for-3 at the plate with two RBI and a run scored
• 2 - junior Emily Daniel was 2-for-2 and drew two walks
