FAIRBORN, Ohio – The University of Dayton baseball fell on the road at Wright State 14-0 on Tuesday afternoon at Nischwitz Stadium in Fairborn, Ohio. Junior
Anthony Hattrup tied a career high with five strikeouts in 4.2 innings in the loss.
The Flyers gave up 10 runs on eight hits in the sixth inning on the way to the loss, and Dayton's record drops to 7-4. Wright State improves to 2-8 with the win. Graduate student
Henry Strmecki led the Flyers with two hits. Freshmen
Lucas Adam David Pedanou each picked up their first career collegiate hits in the contest as well.
ON THE MOUND
Hattrup lowered his ERA to 0.79 on the season allowing just one unearned run in his time on the mound and did not allow a hit in the first three innings on the mound. The junior scattered two hits and struck out five Raiders before giving way to sophomore
Austin Brush. Brush would get the final out in the fifth and start the sixth inning as well.

Thomas Braybrooks made his first appearance of the season, pitching the final 1.2 innings without allowing a hit and striking out two.

Bottom 5: (1-0 Raiders)
A one-out error by senior
Marcos Pujols was followed by a stolen base to put a runner on second. Hattrup retired the next Wright State batter with a fly out before a two-out single scored the game's first run.
Bottom 6: (11-0 Raiders)
Wright State's big inning used three walks and eight hits including two doubles, scoring 10 runs on the Flyers and breaking the game open.
Bottom 7: (14-0 Raiders)
The Raiders opened the inning with a base hit. Two straight one-out walks loaded the bases and a single to center field brought two runs home. Wright State picked up another double to score the fourteenth and final run of the game.
