WASHINGTON, D.C. - The University of Dayton softball team closed out its three-game Atlantic 10 series at George  Washington Sunday with a 4-1 loss to the Colonials. Freshman Chloe Wong knocked out her first collegiate home run in the top of the fourth inning.

Dayton is now 12-20 on the season and an even 7-7 in conference play while George  Washington is now 20-11 overall and 11-1 in A-10 action.

KEY STATS
• 3 - juniors Grace Gressly and Ali Weekley each tallied three putouts and seniors Megan Gist and Kelsey Gumm recorded three assists apiece
• 2 - freshmen Emma Schutter and Chloe Wong both collected two hits in the game, Wong's first collegiate multi-hit game
• SB - junior Emily Daniel was the only player in the game to record a stolen base, her 11th of the season
Winning Pitcher: Sierra Lange (16-6) - 7.0 IP, 1 ER, 4 K, 3 BB
Losing Pitcher: Gumm (7-6) - 4.2 IP, 2 ER, 3 K, 3 BB

UP NEXT
Dayton will head west to St. Louis this coming weekend for a three-spot at Saint Louis. The Flyers and Billikens will play a doubleheader Friday, April 15 beginning at 1 p.m. ET at Billiken Sports Center. On Saturday, the pair will play a single game which will also get underway at 1 p.m.
