WASHINGTON, D.C. - The University of Dayton softball team split its Atlantic 10 doubleheader at league-leading George Washington Saturday. The Flyers took game one, 1-0, followed by a loss to the host Colonials, 4-0, in game two.
Dayton is now 12-18 on the season and 7-6 in conference games while George Washington moves to 20-11 overall and 10-1 in league action.
GAME ONE
Dayton 1, George Washington 0

Emma Schutter tallied two hits in the game, her 11th multi-hit game of the season
• GW - the loss snapped George Washington's 13-game winning streak and was the team's first loss in A-10 play

Kelsey Gumm (7-5) - 6.2 IP, 0 ER, 4 K, 6 BB - third combined, and sixth overall shutout of the season
Losing Pitcher: Sierra Lange (14-6) - 7.0 IP, 1 ER, 8 K, 1 BB

• 3 - Schutter was a perfect 3-for-3 at the plate, extending her reached-base streak to 17 games
• 2 - junior
Grace Gressly posted her 10th multi-hit game of the season after going 2-for-3 at the plate
