FAIRFAX, Va. - The University of Dayton softball team advanced to the second day of play at the 2022 Atlantic 10 Championship after splitting its game on day one of competition. Fifth-seeded Dayton dropped the tourney opener to No. 4 Saint Louis, 7-3, but survived the elimination game with a 4-2, come-from-behind win over No. 6 Massachusetts.
Dayton finished the day with a 20-23 overall record. Saint Louis improved to 22-27 on the season and Massachusetts closed out the year with a 19-32 record.
