ATLANTA - The University of Dayton volleyball team suffered two losses Friday at the Georgia Tech Invitational. Arizona State was able to outlast Dayton, 3-2 (21-25, 18-25, 25-16, 25-13, 15-12), during the early session and host No. 5 Georgia Tech picked up the three-game sweep (25-15, 25-14, 25-19) in the nightcap.
Dayton is now 2-3 early in the 2022 season. Arizona State moved to 2-2 overall while Georgia Tech is an unblemished 3-0.
GAME ONE
Arizona State 3, Dayton 2
19 & 15 - senior
Grace Dynda recorded her third double-double of the season with career highs in kills (19) and digs (15) while swinging at .484
36 & 10 - junior
Livie Sandt also turned in a double-double with 36 assists and 10 digs to go with six blocks and three kills
10 - junior
Amelia Moore tallied a career-high 10 total blocks, two solo and eight assisted
14.0 - as a team, the Flyers stuffed 14.0 blocks, compared to the Yellow Jackets' 8.0
GAME TWO
No. 5 Georgia Tech 3, Dayton 0
11 - Moore tallied her third double-digit kill match of the season with a team-high 11 kills
5.0 - Dayton and Georgia Tech were even at the net with 5.0 total blocks apiece; Moore and Dynda each had three
