DAYTON - University of Dayton volleyball head coach Tim Horsmon has announced the promotion of Kaylee Thomas to director of operations. Thomas joined the Flyer staff in the spring of 2022 as a volunteer assistant coach.

After playing four seasons at Alabama as a defensive specialist/libero, Thomas became the 14th player in UA history to surpass 1,000 career digs before graduating with a bachelor's degree in consumer sciences and she also completed a master's degree in sports hospitality management in spring of 2021. She played one season as a graduate student at Maryland in 2021, playing in all 112 sets the Terps competed in, and was second on the team with 292 digs.

Thomas is a native of Ocala, Florida.

Dayton will open the home portion of its 2022 Atlantic 10 schedule this weekend with two matches against Davidson at Frericks Center.
