DAYTON - The University of Dayton women's tennis team will open its 2023 season against Miami (Ohio) at home on Sunday. The match between the Flyers and the RedHawks is set to get underway at 10 a.m. at
South Regency Tennis Center in Miamisburg. Admission is free.
The Flyers return sophomore
Neena Katauskas for 2023, who posted a 7-3 record at No. 3 singles and partnered with junior
Sarah DeMarco for a 6-4 mark at No. 3 doubles last season, while sophomore
Laura Greb went 7-1 at No. 4 singles in 2022. UD has two new faces on the roster this season in freshmen
Grace Murphy and
Natalie Osiecki.
Miami (0-2) opened its spring slate last week in Fort Myers, Florida, with losses to North Texas and Florida Atlantic. The RedHawks are slated to take on Kentucky Friday afternoon at 3 p.m. ahead of Sunday's match-up with the Flyers.
Dayton was originally scheduled to square off against Bellarmine Saturday, Jan. 21 in Louisville but that contest has been postponed.
