DAYTON - The Flyers women's basketball team started out hot in the first half, but could not hold the momentum in the second half as they fell to Fordham University, 82-66. 

Dayton (2-12, 1-2 A-10) suffers its second Atlantic 10 loss while Fordham (11-5, 3-0 A-10) remain unbeaten in league play.

GAME BREAKDOWN
1^st Quarter: Dayton 21, Fordham 15

• The Flyers start strong with a made layup by senior Mariah Perez on offense followed by a forced turnover on the defensive side of the ball.
• Dayton opens up hot and led 6-0 with 7:48 left in the quarter. 
• The Flyers forced three turnovers while only allowing two points at the six-minute mark.
• The Rams got their offense going, but the Flyers still led 14-11 with two minutes remaining.
• Dayton ended the quarter shooting 55.6 percent to Fordham's 35.3 percent.
• Redshirt junior Destiny Bohanon led the Flyers in scoring with six points.

2^nd Quarter: Dayton 32, Fordham 33

• Junior Anyssa Jones opened up the second-quarter scoring by grabbing her own miss and hitting a layup. 
• Fordham started the quarter hot, taking the lead 24-23, but a bucket from Perez put the Flyers right back on top.
• At the under-five media timeout, the Rams led 25-27.
• Thanks to a basket from freshman Nayo Lear, a block by Freeman and a made free throw from Jones, the Flyers reclaimed a 30-29 lead with 2:30 remaining.
• The Flyers closed out the half shooting 43.8 percent, the Rams are shot 36.8 percent.
• Dayton converted opportunities well, scoring 11 second-chance points.

3^rd Quarter: Dayton 51, Fordham 57

• Freeman opened up the second half for the Flyers, knocking down a layup.
• Fordham started strong, but Dayton is kept themselves in striking range, down 39-46 with six minutes to go. 
• Bohanon knocked down two free throws to enter double-digits on the day with 10 points. 
• The Rams made 10 of their last 12 field goals to take a 45-55 lead with 2:20 remaining.
• The Flyers closed out the quarter shooting 44.7 percent from the field and 50 percent from three. 
• Bohanon was still leading the way with 13 points while Perez is contributed on the boards, leading the team with nine rebounds. 

4^th Quarter: Dayton 66, Fordham 82

• Bohanon hit a three to bring Dayton within three points. 
• Sophomore Arianna Smith got to double digits by making a jump shot.
• The Rams went on an 8-0 run to jump out to a 12-point lead. 
• Lear entered double digits by hitting a pair of free throws, giving her 10 points on the day.
• The Flyers finished with three scorers in double digits.
