Taylor Russell combined for 30 of the team's 49 kills in the win at the Wildcats' Belk Arena.
Dayton improves to 19-2 on the season, has won 14-consecutive matches and is now 8-0 in league action. Davidson moves to 12-6 overall and and even 4-4 in A-10 contests.
KEY STATS
41 - junior
Alyssa Miller set 41 assists, her ninth 40+-assist match of the season, to go with seven digs, three blocks (1-2) and two kills
17 - Almodovar led all attackers with 17 kills and also had eight digs and two blocks
15 - sophomore
Karissa Kaminski got under a match-high 15 digs to lead all passers
13 - Russell was the second Flyer in double-digit kills with 13
3 - freshman
Gaby Arroyo served up three aces for the third time this season
Davidson - the Wildcats were led by Isabel Decker with 12 kills and Bella Brady with 10 digs
UP NEXT
Dayton and Davidson will close out their two-match series on Saturday. First serve between the Flyers and Wildcats is set for 2 p.m. Oct. 14 at Davidson's Belk Arena and admission is free.
