DAYTON - The 18th-ranked University of Dayton volleyball team will close out its three-match homestand Tuesday evening with an Atlantic 10 match against Duquesne. The Flyers and Dukes are scheduled to square off Oct. 24 at Frericks Center and first serve is set for 5 p.m. Admission is free.

SCOUTING DUQUESNE
Duquesne (10-9, 5-6 A-10) is currently tied for fifth place in Atlantic 10 standings and split its last two conference series at George Washington and at home against Rhode Island. The Dukes' Ariel Helm carries the team's best hitting percentage (.312 - 8th A-10) and Carsyn Henschen tallies 3.35 kills/set (5th A-10). Helm and Jordan Robertson lead Duquesne at the net with 1.04 (5th A-10) and 1.03 (6th A-10) blocks/set while Madison Grimm gets under 3.65 digs/set.
SERIES STUFF
Dayton Leads, 54-4
The Flyers and Dukes first squared off on Sept. 15, 1990 with a 3-0 Dayton win and mostly recently faced each other earlier this season on Oct. 3, also a 3-0 UD win. Dayton has won 18 straight and the last time Duquesne picked up a victory in the series was at the 2013 A-10 Championship.
LAST TIME OUT
Dayton hosted Saint Louis over the weekend for two matches at Frericks Center. The Flyers posted 3-0 and 3-1 wins over the Billikens Friday night and Saturday afternoon. On Saturday,
Lexie Almodovar led all attackers with 18 kills and
Amelia Moore had nine kills and nine blocks for the Flyers.
RPI RANKINGS
In the NCAA's most recent Rating Percentage Index (RPI) for the 2023 season released Oct. 23, Dayton ranked 17th according to NCAA.com. Duquesne was ranked 237th.
AVCA/TARAFLEX TOP 25 COACHES POLL
In the Oct. 23 edition of the AVCA/TARAFLEX Division I Top 25 poll, Dayton was ranked 18th. This is the seventh-consecutive week the Flyers have appeared in the poll this season. Over the history of the AVCA WVB DI Coaches Top 25 Poll, Dayton has been ranked a total of 64 times and the program's highest ranking was No. 10 on Sept. 3, 2012.
