PULLMAN, Washington - The 19th-ranked University of Dayton volleyball team fell 3-1 (25-21, 25-15, 20-25, 25-16) at No. 10 Washington State Saturday night in the second round of the 2023 NCAA Tournament. The Flyers closed out a historic season with a 32-3 record, that included a program-record 27-match winning streak, with all three losses coming to teams nationally ranked in the top 15 at the time of the match.
This was Dayton's 17th appearance in the NCAA Tournament and 10th time advancing to the second round.
KEY STATS
34 - junior
Alyssa Miller set 34 assists to go with six digs and three kills on the night
18 - sophomore
Karissa Kaminski got under a match-high 18 digs and was second on the team with eight assists
15 - sophomore
Taylor Russell recorded a match-high-tying 15 kills
11 & 15 - junior
Lexie Almodovar posted her 13th double-double of the season with 11 kills and 15 digs
6 - senior
Lindsey Winner tallied a career-high-tying six kills to go with one solo block in her final match as a Flyer
6 - senior
Amelia Moore had a team-high six blocks to go with six kills in her final match as a Flyer
Washington State - the Cougars were led by Magda Jehlarova with 15 kills and 10 blocks
