DeLAND, Fla. - The University of Dayton softball team closed out the weekend with a 3-0 win at Stetson on Sunday. Graduate student Kallie Jones and sophomore Haven Dwyer combined for the shutout in the circle for the Flyers.

Dayton improved to 3-2 after five games at the Frank Griffin Classic while host Stetson also ended the weekend with a 3-2 mark.

2 - sophomore Emma Schutter filled her stat line with 2s: two hits, two runs, two stolen bases, two putouts and two assists
2 - senior Kaelene Walter also recorded two hits while knocking in two runs

Credit goes to our pitching staff and defense for allowing the fewest average runs for an opening weekend in program history. There is tremendous momentum heading into the upcoming week."
