DAYTON – The University of Dayton women's tennis team is scheduled for a pair of matches this weekend, playing host to SIUE Saturday, Feb. 25 at South Regency Tennis Center at 2:30 p.m. and hitting the road for a matchup at Ball State Sunday, Feb. 26 at Cardinal Creek Tennis Center with a start time scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
 
The Flyers have bounced back after dropping their opening two matches of the season with six consecutive wins. They are currently 6-2 after sweeping Thomas More last Sunday.  
 
Freshman Natalie Osiecki has had an incredible start to her rookie campaign as she currently holds a singles record of 6-2 at No. 1 and a doubles mark of 7-3, teaming with sophomore Neena Katauskas at No. 1. This strong performance granted her Atlantic-10 rookie of the week recognition.

Katauskas has also been a key component for the Flyers, posting a strong 6-2 record as the No. 2 singles to go along with the doubles mark. Senior Elizabeth Hamilton has a sparkling 7-1 record this spring and has won six consecutive matches at No. 3 singles.
 
SIUE has posted a 6-1 record on the season, winning their last five matches. The Cougars have a 2-1 record this spring when playing on the road, with their only loss of the season coming at Valparaiso Jan. 18. Jordan Schifano has led the Cougars to their impressive start posting a 6-1 singles record at No. 3.
 
They Flyers have only faced SIUE twice in school history, dropping both matches. Dayton will look to redeem themselves Saturday after losing their last match-up in 2021, 6-1.
 
Ball State comes to town riding a win over Oakland putting them at 6-2 on the year. The Cardinals have seen contributions up and down their roster, with junior Maria Polishchuk turning in a perfect 6-0 mark in the spring. She's 4-0 as BSU's No. 1 and 2-0 at No. 2.
 
The Flyers have battled Ball State four times in school history with a record of 1-3. The last matchup came nearly a year ago where the Cardinals pulled off a clean sweep.
