LOUISVILLE, Ky. - The University of Dayton baseball team flooded the bases with runners but were unable to come up with a big hit, falling to No. 9 Louisville 6-2 Saturday, March 11 at Patterson Stadium.
Freshman slugger
Eddie Yamin IV got the FlyBoys on the board with a first-inning, two-run home run, his second of the series and fourth of the season. Unfortunately, even though the Flyers reached base nine times via free pass (eight walks, one hit-by-pitch) in the game, Yamin's homer would be the lone hit in the contest for UD.
BY THE NUMBERS
8 - walks drawn by Dayton, including two for
Marcos Pujols and
Nolan Watson
6 - strikeouts for starter
Mark Manfredi
4 - home runs this season for Yamin
