HIGHLAND HEIGHTS, Ky. - The University of Dayton softball team picked up a sweep of Northern Kentucky Tuesday at NKU's Frank Ignatius Grein Field. With the wins, Dayton extends its winning streak to six. On the day, sophomore Emma Schutter was 4-for-7 with four stolen bases, two runs and one RBI for the Flyers.

Dayton improves to 13-10 on the season while Northern Kentucky is now 7-17 overall.

GAME ONE
Dayton 1, Northern Kentucky 0 (8 inn.)
12 - freshman Izzy Kemp tallied a career-high 12 strikeouts over 8.0 innings of work, her fifth complete game and second complete-game shutout of the season
9 - the outfielders combined for nine putouts led by senior Quinn Pallardy with four
2 - Schutter was 2-for-3 at the plate, the only Flyer to record a multi-hit game, including her first career triple

GAME TWO
Dayton 3, Northern Kentucky 0
HR - graduate student Alyssa Cacini knocked out her team-best fourth home run of the season to score the Flyers' first run
10 - for the seventh time this season, and the fourth time in the last five games, Dayton tallied double-digit hits
2 - three Flyers recorded two hits
2 - for the second game in a row, Schutter collected two stolen bases and now has a team-high 17 on the season
Winning Pitcher: Haven Dwyer (7-2), Save: Kemp (3), Losing Pitcher: A. Flores (4-8)

UP NEXT
After its Atlantic 10 season-opening series against Fordham was postponed this past weekend due to inclement weather in Dayton, UD is looking forward to hosting Massachusetts Saturday and Sunday.
