DAYTON - The University of Dayton women's tennis team finishes the regular season with a pair of Atlantic 10 matches in the Washington D.C. area, taking on George Washington Saturday, April 15Â at 1 p.m. and George Mason Sunday, April 16 at 10 a.m.Â
The Flyers are 8-10 on the season with a 2-2 mark in A-10 play. Freshman
Natalie Osiecki has nine wins playing at No. 1 singles, while sophomore
Neena Katauskas has a team-best 11 wins at No. 2. Those two have combined for 11 wins as a doubles pair as well.
George Washington is 6-9-1 during the 2023 spring season with a 3-3 Atlantic 10 record. The Colonials have picked up conference wins over Rhode Island, Duquesne and George Mason, while falling to Davidson, Massachusetts, and VCU. Stella Wiesemann is 8-5 at No. 1 singles this season, while Gabriela Giraldo has an 11-4 mark at No. 2. Wiesemann and Giraldo form the top doubles pair for GW as well, combining to win 10 matches.
George Mason has a strong 9-4 record on the season but has played just two matches in the Atlantic 10, going 1-1. Taylor Garcia has proved to be the Patriots' top singles player, winning nine total matches with an 8-3 record at No. 2 and a 1-0 record at No. 1. Garcia has paired with Paige La at No. 1 doubles to combine for a 8-5 record.
