OLEAN, N.Y. - The University of Dayton men's tennis team improved to 3-0 in Atlantic 10 play with a 4-1 victory over St. Bonaventure Sunday, April 2 at the SBU Indoor Facility.
The Flyers jumped ahead out of the gate thanks to a strong performance in doubles.
Matt DeMarco and
Ronit Hiryur coasted to a 6-1 win at No. 2, while
Sai Dore and
Oliver Dunne pulled out a 7-5 victory at No. 3.
Senior
Connor Bruce pulled out a hard-fought win at No. 1 singles 7-5, 6-2, while
Eric Perkowski took care of business at No. 4 with a 6-3, 6-4 triumph. For the second consecutive match, DeMarco clinched the win for UD with a 7-6, 6-3 showing at No. 2.
