DAYTON - The University of Dayton softball team picked up two wins over Morehead State Wednesday in a doubleheader at UD Softball Stadium. The Flyers downed the Eagles 3-2 in game one followed by a 5-4 victory in game two.
Dayton improves to 32-14 on the season while Morehead State moves to 11-26 overall.
GAME ONE
Dayton 3, Morehead State 2
3 - freshman
Molly Grace recorded a career-high three assists in four innings of work at second base
2 - senior
Emily Daniel was 2-for-4 at the plate and scored two runs for the Flyers

GAME TWO
Dayton 5, Morehead State 4

Izzy Kemp's fifth save of the season, the team has set a new single-season saves record of 11
3 - Kemp struck out three of the four batters she faced to close out the game
2 - four Flyers recorded two hits in the game including sophomores
Emma Schutter and
Chloe Wong who were both a perfect 2-for-2 at the plate

UP NEXT
Dayton is scheduled for a three-game Atlantic 10 Conference series at Saint Joseph's this weekend. The Flyers and Hawks are set to play two on Saturday followed by a single game on Sunday. Start time is 12 p.m. both days and the games will be played at SJU Softball field.
