Softball Takes A-10 Series From Saint Louis With Two Wins Saturday

Reeg's Walk-Off Two-Run Homer in Game Two Seals the Doubleheader Sweep for the Flyers

DAYTON - The University of Dayton softball team claimed the A-10 series win over Saint Louis with a doubleheader sweep at UD Softball Stadium on Saturday. After downing the Billikens, 6-4, in game one, senior Katie Reeg's two-run homer in the bottom of the seventh ended game two for the Flyers in walk-off fashion.

Dayton improves to 21-13 overall and 7-2 in conference games while Saint Louis is now 15-21 on the season and 7-4 in league action.

5 - graduate student Kallie Jones tallied a season-high five strikeouts in 3.0 innings of work
3 - sophomore Emma Schutter was 3-for-4 at the plate, her seventh game this season with three hits
SB - graduate student Alyssa Cacini was one of three Flyers to record a stolen base, her career high seventh of the year
Winning Pitcher: Haven Dwyer (9-3), Losing Pitcher: Chloe Wendling (13-11)

HR - Reeg's home run in the bottom of the seventh, her first of the season, scored the winning runs for the Flyers
5 - senior Kaelene Walter tallied a career-high-tying five assists
2 - Reeg and Schutter both tallied two hits; Reeg's first hit of the game was a double
