CHICAGO - The University of Dayton softball team dropped a 2-0 decision at Loyola Chicago Sunday in the final game of the 2023 regular season. The Ramblers scored two in the bottom of the sixth to secure the win.

The Flyers have earned the No. 3 seed in next weekend's Atlantic 10 Championship which will mark the program's 10th-consecutive appearance in the post-season tournament.

Dayton closes out the regular season with a 33-18 overall record and a 15-7 mark in A-10 games while Loyola is now 24-21 on the season and 18-6 in league contests.

11 - freshman Izzy Kemp posted her fifth game of the season with double-digit pitching strikeouts after fanning 11 Rambler batters
SB - junior Kara Gunter collected her career-high-tying nine stolen base of the season pushing the team's record-breaking total to 84 on the year
Win: Pepkowski (13-10), Loss: Kemp (12-7)

The 2023 Atlantic 10 Softball Championship is scheduled for May 10-13 and will be hosted by Fordham at Bahoshy Field in Bronx, N.Y.
