DAYTON – The University of Dayton women's soccer team improved to 3-0 on the 2023 campaign thanks to a 
Laney Huber goal in the 86
th minute to lift the Flyers over the University of Louisville, 2-1, Thursday night at Baujan Field
 
Key Moments
With the Flyers (3-0-0) and Cardinals (0-2-1) knotted at 1-1, senior 
Diana Benigno floated a perfect pass to the far post while Huber beat her defender and the keeper to notch her fifth career game-winning goal.
 
Dayton's first goal came in the first 10 minutes of action courtesy of 
Kyra Karfonta, as she lofted a left-footed shot that the Cardinals' keeper could not deny.

Sophomore keeper 
Batoul Reda set a new career-high with nine saves on the night.
 
Fifth-year 
Marlee Taylor registered an assist on both Dayton's goals, picking up the primary for Karfonta's goal and the secondary on the game-winner from Huber.
 
Benigno has now tallied an assist in each of the Flyers' first three matches.
 
Sophomore 
Mairin Wessner kept her point streak alive with the secondary assist on Karfonta's strike.
