DAYTON - The University of Dayton men's soccer team will return home to host Cleveland State Tuesday at 7 p.m. in non-conference action.
SCOUTING THE FLYERS
Dayton comes back to Baujan Field after a 10-day road stretch and enters the game with a 2-6-1 record on the year. The Flyers are 2-1 at home this season and have outscored opponents 10-3 at Baujan.
Head coach
Dennis Currier is in his 19th season in charge of the Flyers and was named Atlantic 10 Coach of the Year for the 2020 season.
As a team, the Flyers are averaging 1.78 goals per game and giving up 1.67 goals to opposing squads. Dayton ranks fourth in the country in shots per game and 19th in total goals.

Joseph Melto Quiah and freshman
Hjalti Sigurdsson with three goals each while senior
Ousseynou Cisse has three assists to go with one goal. Senior goalkeeper
Dario Caetano has two shutouts and 22 saves through nine games.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
CLEVELAND STATE
Cleveland State sits at 1-5-2 this season and 1-4 in road contests. The Vikings are looking for their first victory since Aug. 28 and face their third road game in the last four outings.
Head Coach Sinisa Ubiparipovic is in his fifth season at the helm of the Vikings and led CSU to their first ever Horizon League regular season title in 2022.
Overall, Cleveland State is scoring 1.38 goals each outing and allowing 2.63 goals to opponents. The Vikings are averaging 11.0 shots per game, but at a .125 clip.
The Vikings are led by Pablo Kawecki and Albert Portas with seven points each on three goals and one assist while Marko Rimac and Daniel Tregansin have three assists each. CSU has used three goalkeepers this year with Stephen Yaerian totaling 23 saves in five appearances.
LAST OUTING
Dayton battled Saint Joseph's on the road Saturday and suffered a 1-0 loss in A-10 play. A goal in the 60th minute gave UD its first conference loss of the season.
Cleveland State faced Green Bay at home on Saturday and ended with a 1-1 draw. The Vikings rallied from a 1-0 deficit with a goal in the 87th minute.
SERIES HISTORY
Dayton and Cleveland State have met seven times previously with the Vikings holding a 6-1 series advantage. The last meeting took place back in 2016 with the Flyers falling on the road 3-0 to open the season.
