DAYTON – University of Dayton men's soccer head coach
Dennis Currier has announced the program's complete 2026 schedule, a 16-game slate that includes four teams that qualified for the 2026 NCAA Tournament.
"We are excited to have another schedule that allows us the opportunity to earn an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament from an RPI standpoint," commented coach Currier. "Our non-conference and conference schedules include four teams that competed in the NCAA Tournament last year - including an Elite Eight and College Cup participant."
The Flyers will host two exhibition matches in early August beginning with IU Indy on the 7th followed by a match against Robert Morris on Aug. 13. Both will be held at Baujan Field and will be the #FlyerFaithful's first chance to see the 2026 squad in action.
The regular season will get underway at Akron on Thursday, Aug. 20 ahead of three home contests against Western Michigan (Aug. 23), Detroit Mercy (Aug. 28) and Purdue Fort Wayne (Aug. 31).
Dayton will open September against UNCG in the first of three Saturday home games on Sept. 5 and UD will welcome Butler to town on Sept. 12. Atlantic 10 Conference play will get underway on Sept. 19 against Saint Louis and Dayton will then host Northern Kentucky Sept. 22. The Flyers will take on the Explorers of La Salle Sept. 26 in Philadelphia before returning to Dayton to take on Bluffton on Sept. 29.
VCU will be in town Oct. 3 and Dayton will go to Pittsburgh for a matchup against Duquesne on Oct. 10. The third Saturday in October will bring Fordham to Baujan Field and then UD will play a midweek contest at Rhode Island Oct. 21. The final two weekends of the month will feature a home game against George Washington on Oct. 24 and an away game at Loyola Chicago Oct. 31 to close out the regular season.
The first round of the 2026 Atlantic 10 Championship will be played at campus sites on either Nov. 6 or 7 followed by the semifinal round on Nov. 11. The championship match will take place on the highest-remaining seed's home pitch Nov. 15.
Dayton made the program's third-consecutive appearance in the A-10 Championship match in 2025 and the Flyers hope to get back to the title match in 2026. UD's top returners are seniors
