DAYTON - The University of Dayton women's basketball team hosts Loyola Chicago Saturday, Jan. 6 at 12 p.m. at UD Arena in Atlantic 10 action.
SCOUTING THE FLYERS
Dayton returns home with a 6-8 record on the year and 0-3 A-10 mark. The Flyers are on a three-game losing skid, but had won the two games prior to that. UD is 3-3 at UD Arena this season.
Williams-Jeter is in her second season in charge of her hometown Flyers, coming over after a year at Wittenberg. She has assistant coaching stops at Kansas, Kentucky, Penn State, and Ohio State.
The Flyers are averaging 65.9 points per game and allowing 71.2 points to opponents. Dayton is shooting 40.4 percent overall, 28.4 percent from three point range, and 72.2 percent from the free throw line. UD is one of the top rebounding teams in the league with a +8.6 margin.

SCOUTING LOYOLA CHICAGO
Loyola Chicago has already surpassed last season's win total and boasts a winning record at 7-6 on the year. The Ramblers are 1-1 in A-10 contests and 3-3 on the road.
Head coach Allison Guth is in her second season at the helm, but eighth season as a head coach.
As a team, Loyola is scoring 66.3 points each outing and giving up 68.2 points to opposing squads. The Ramblers are averaging 39.8 percent from the field, 34.9 percent from behind the arc, and 73.1 percent from the charity stripe.
The Ramblers are led by Alyssa Fisher with 14.7 points each contest and Sam Galanopoulos with 13.9 points per game. Sitori Tanin is contributing 9.8 points and a team-high 5.9 rebounds per game also.
SERIES HISTORY
The Flyers and Ramblers have met 23 times previously with Dayton holding a 14-9 series advantage. The two teams last faced off on Feb. 1, 2023 with the Flyers earning an 81-68 victory in Chicago.
LAST TIME OUT
Dayton suffered a 76-66 loss on the road at UMass Tuesday. The Flyers and Minutewomen were tied at halftime, but a fourth-quarter surge kept UD winless in A-10 play. Smith recorded 19 points and 11 boards.
Loyola Chicago earned a huge win over Saint Louis at home Wednesday thanks to a game-winning three by Fisher with :36 remaining in the game. She finished with 28 in the game.
LEADING THE CONFERENCE
Junior
Arianna Smith currently leads the A-10 in rebounds, offensive rebounds, and double-doubles. She ranks eighth, fifth, and 26th nationally in those respective categories as well.
