DAYTON - The University of Dayton women's soccer team extended its winning streak to seven with its 1-0 shutout win over visiting VCU Sunday afternoon. Freshman
Laney Smith scored the game-winner for the Flyers, her seventh goal of the season, as UD recorded its ninth shutout win of the year.
Dayton improves to 13-3 overall and 7-1 in Atlantic 10 matches. With 21 points, UD remains in first place in A-10 standings, one point ahead of Saint Louis. VCU moves to 3-8-4 on the season and 2-2-4 in league games.
