Lexie Almodovar broke the University of Dayton career kills record and the No. 20-ranked Flyers rolled to another sweep, topping Fordham 25-17, 25-18, 25-17 on Saturday afternoon at Rose Hill Gymnasium.Â

Needing nine kills to break the all-time record of 1,796, held by UD Hall of Famer Faye Barhorst, Almodovar finished with 18 kills and hitting .381 for the match. Dayton pushes its record to 21-1 on the season and is 11-0 in Atlantic 10 play.

Senior setter
Alyssa Miller had the Dayton offense clicking on all cylinders, dishing out 38 assists while the Flyers hit .306 in the match. The Orland Park, Kan. Native also had a season-high 21 digs to lead all players.

The offense got contributions from the full lineup on Saturday, as redshirt senior
Brooke Smith had 10 kills,
Alia Williams added her best as a Flyer with eight, and the middle duo of
Liana Sarkissian and
Alayna Yates each had seven.
