Almodovar, Smith Lead #UDVB to Sweep of VCU

Almodovar Had 15 Kills And Smith Added 11 While Hitting .667

RICHMOND, Va. - The No. 23-ranked University of Dayton volleyball team made it a clean sweep of the weekend in Richmond, Va., taking down VCU in straight sets, 25-15, 25-19, 25-23 on Saturday afternoon at the Siegel Center. 
 
The Flyers are now 14-1 on the 2024 campaign and improve to 4-0 in conference play. UD has now won 24 consecutive Atlantic 10 regular season matches.
 
Redshirt senior duo Lexie Almodovar and Brooke Smith led the charge for the Dayton offense, finishing the match with 15 and 11 kills, respectively. Smith led all Flyers with an impressive .667 attack percentage for the match.
 
Senior Alyssa Miller distributed 30 assists in the match.
 
BY THE NUMBERS
.667 – attack percentage for Brooke Smith, her second time this season having 10+ kills and an attack percentage above .600
.304 – attack percentage for Dayton in Atlantic 10 matches this season
27 – assists for senior setter Alyssa Miller
