DAYTON - The University of Dayton women's soccer team tallied its seventh shutout win of the season with its 1-0 victory over visiting Rhode Island on Sunday. Junior Kyra Karfonta converted on the penalty to score the Flyers' lone goal of the match in the 51' while junior goalkeeper Batoul Reda saved a Rams' penalty in the 84' to keep the clean sheet.

Dayton improves to 10-3 on the season and 4-1 in Atlantic 10 Conference play after winnings its fourth-consecutive league match. Rhode Island moves to 5-6-2 overall and 2-3-0 in A-10 play. The Flyers have now reached the double-digit wins mark for the fourth-consecutive season.
