DAYTON – The No. 19-ranked Dayton volleyball team looks to continue its 15-match win streak this weekend, traveling to Fairfax, Va. to take on George Mason on Saturday and Sunday, Nov. 2-4 at the Recreation Athletic Complex.
The Flyers and Patriots play at 1 p.m. on Saturday and will play again at 12 p.m. on Sunday. Both matches will be broadcast on ESPN+.

Redshirt senior
Lexie Almodovar has put herself in rarified air in her final season as a Flyer.

The Noblesville, Ind. native became the all-time #UDVB kills leader, passing Dayton Hall of Famer and All-American Faye Barhorst (1,796; 2003-06) with her 18-kill performance at Fordham. She also became just the seventh Flyer in history to eclipse the 1,000 mark in both kills and digs.

Almodovar is also sixth in the NCAA in kills for an active player (1,826), and is one of four active players with 1,800+ kills and 180+ service aces.

Another Weekly Winner
Senior setter
Alyssa Miller was tabbed the Atlantic 10 Player of the Week on Monday after posting two assist/dig double-doubles and averaging 11.83 assists/set.

The Overland Park, Kan. native had 30 assists and 14 digs on Friday night against the Rams, then had 38 assists and a career-best 21 digs on Saturday.

The Flyers have now won six weekly honors from the Atlantic 10 this season, as junior
Liana Sarkissian won her first career Player of the Week honor on Sept. 16, and redshirt senior
Lexie Almodovar added her first POW of the season a week later on Sept. 23.
Brooke Smith won the honor on Oct. 8, and Almodovar notched her second of the season on Oct. 21.

Karissa Kaminski earned the Flyers' first Defensive Player of the Week honor of the season on Sept. 30.

Dayton leads the Atlantic 10 in four categories this season, including points/set (18.31), hitting percentage (.299), assists/set (13.11), kills/set (14.09), aces/set (1.93) and opponent hitting percentage (.139).

Dayton has won 32 consecutive regular-season Atlantic 10 matches dating back to the 2022 campaign after starting the 2024 conference campaign with sweeps over Rhode Island, VCU, Loyola Chicago, George Washington and Fordham, and winning both midweek matches with Duquesne.

Dayton head coach
Tim Horsmon, now in his 16th season as the Flyers' coach (2003-08; 2014-Present), sits just three wins away from 400 in his career at UD.

Horsmon, who is already the all-time winningest Dayton coach, has a 397-108 record while at the helm of the Flyers for an all-time winning percentage of .786. For his total 25-year career, Horsmon has a 573-272 record.

George Mason has an overall record of 9-15 overall and 4-8 in the A-10. Dayton has won all 18 matches with the Patriots in the series' history.

GMU is third in the Atlantic 10 in aces/set with a 1.82 mark on the season. Sophomore Autumn Martinez-Robinson leads the Patriots with a conference-best 0.56 ace/set average.
