CLINTON, S.C. – The University of Dayton football fell on the road at Presbyterian Saturday, 28-7.  PC scored the first 25 points of the game en route to its second straight win.
Dayton is now 5-3 overall, and 3-2 in the PFL. Â Presbyterian is now 4-6, and 2-4 in the PFL.
GAME RECAP
1st Quarter – Presbyterian 5, Dayton 0
•   Two plays out of punt formations led to the first quarter scoring.
•   A Presbyterian fake punt on fourth-and-six at its own 29 led to 37-yard field goal on the first drive of the game.
•   On the next series, the punt snap was well over Dayton punter
Logan Forcum's head and went out of the end zone for a safety.
•   PC outgained UD 97 to -2.
•   The Blue Hose were 0-for-4 on third down, but 2-for-2 on fourth down.
2nd Quarter – Presbyterian 15, Dayton 0
•   Presbyterian scored its touchdown on a drive that began at the end of the first quarter and ended with a 12-yard run with 10:56 left in the half.
•   PC then scored on a 27-yard field goal with 1:59 left.
•   Dayton came into the game leading FCS football in first downs allowed (11.7), and first-half first downs were 11-3 in favor of the Blue Hose.
3rd Quarter – Presbyterian 25, Dayton 7
•   Presbyterian took advantage of a short field after a strip sack to drive 29 yards in four plays to score another an eight-yard TD. Â
•   Dayton put together its best drive to that point, going 62 yards in nine plays , but the ball was turned over on downs at the 18. Â
•   Presbyterian drove 77 yards to set up a 22-yard field goal.
•   Dayton then drove 70 in 12 plays to get on the board. Â
Mason Hackett ran it in from the two-yard line with 11 seconds left in the period.
4th Quarter – Presbyterian 28, Dayton 7
•   The Dayton defense forced two punts on the next two series, but both Flyers possession ended in fumbles.
•   The second one resulted in a 24-yard drive that ends with PC's fourth field goal of the day, a 34-yarder.
•   UD went 70 yards in seven plays on its last possession, but the drive ended with an interception in the end zone with 12 seconds to go.
BY THE NUMBERS
•   Sophomore running back
Luke Hansen returned to action for the first time in five games, and led UD with nine carries for 44 yards. Â 42 of his yards came in the second half.
•   QB
Drew VanVleet was 26 of 40 for 231 yards and one interception.

Gavin Lochow led UD with six catches for 48 yards.
•   Linebackers
Aiden McKinley and
Gideon Lampron shared game honors in tackles with 11.
•   Ten of McKinley's hits were unassisted.  He also had 4.0 TFL, a sack and a pass break up.
•   Punter
Logan Forcum punted twice for a 49.5 yard average.
•   Freshman
Paul Kelly returned one punt for 25 yards.

•   UD is back home for the next two weeks – Nov. 9 vs. San Diego and Nov. 16 vs. Valparaiso. Â
