FAIRFAX, Va. – The No. 19-ranked University of Dayton volleyball team pushed its Atlantic 10 winning streak to 34 matches by sweeping George Mason on Sunday afternoon, topping the Patriots 25-23, 25-16, 25-11 in the Recreation Athletic Complex.
The Flyers held George Mason to just .035 from the floor for the match, including two sets of .000 percentages. UD had a decisive edge in blocking, turning aside 13 GMU attacks while the Patriots had just one.
Dayton had three individuals with double-doubles in the match, as redshirt senior
Lexie Almodovar had 17 kills and 10 digs, senior
Alyssa Miller had 24 assists and 13 digs, and junior
Karissa Kaminski had 13 digs and 10 assists.
Almodovar added a career-best six blocks for the Flyers, while Miller added a season-high five.
