DAYTON – The No. 19-ranked University of Dayton volleyball team made it a clean sweep for the weekend over Davidson, dispatching the Wildcats 25-13, 25-12, 25-13 on Senior Day inside the Frericks Center. UD finishes the regular season with a perfect 11-0 record at home.
The win improves Dayton's record to 26-1 on the season and is the Flyers 19
th consecutive victory.
On a day in which the Flyers shined a spotlight on their seniors, redshirt senior
Lexie Almodovar led the way with 15 kills. The middle blocking duo of junior
Liana Sarkissian and redshirt senior
Alayna Yates added nine and eight kills, respectively.
Fellow senior
Alyssa Miller dished out 34 assists and also had four kills, while junior libero led all players with 19 digs.
Dayton doubled up Davidson's blocking total (8 to 4), with Yates leading the way with five kills, redshirt senior
Brooke Smith adding four, and Sarkissian finishing with three.
