DAYTON - The University of Dayton women's basketball team hosts Miami (Ohio) Thursday, Dec. 5 at 7 p.m. at UD Arena.
SCOUTING THE FLYERS
Dayton enters the game with a 5-3 record on the year and is unbeaten at home this season. The Flyers are coming off a big win over Central Connecticut St. Sunday and look to make it 2-0 on the week Thursday.
Head coach
Tamika Williams-Jeter is in her third season in charge of her hometown Flyers, coming over after a year at Wittenberg. She has assistant coaching stops at Kansas, Kentucky, Penn State, and Ohio State.
The Flyers are averaging 66.8 points per game and holding opponents to just 62.0 points each outing. Dayton is shooting 40.2 percent overall, 28.6 percent from three point range, and 69.2 percent from the free throw line. UD benefits from a +5.6 rebounding margin, but is committing more turnovers.

Ivy Wolf with 17.3 and 4.4 rebounds per game and
Arianna Smith with 9.4 points and 7.9 rebounds each outing.
SCOUTING THE OPPONENT
MIAMI (OHIO)
Miami (Ohio) sits at 4-2 on the season and also has all four victories at home this year. The RedHawks are 0-2 in true road games and coming off a 19-point loss at Western Kentucky Sunday afternoon.
Head coach Glenn Box is in his second season at Miami and is familiar with Dayton having previously served as an assistant at Saint Louis.
As a team, the RedHawks are scoring 73.5 points per contest and allowing just 57.3 points to opposing squads as well. Miami is averaging 45.3 percent from the floor, 35.4 percent from behind the arc, and 77.4 percent from the charity stripe. The RedHawks are forcing 6.5 more turnovers from opponents.
The main offensive threats for Miami are Amber Tretter with 13.3 points and 8.2 rebounds per game and Enjulina Gonzalez with 11.7 points and 3.3 boards each outing.
SERIES HISTORY
The Flyers and RedHawks are meeting for the 37th time in series history. Dayton has won the last two match-ups including last year's showdown on Dec. 9 in Oxford, 73-60.
