MACON, Ga. - The University of Dayton softball team closed out its weekend at Mercer's Heart of Georgia Classic with a 5-1 win over Drexel Sunday. The game was called after five innings due to weather in the Macon area.

Dayton closes out opening weekend with a 4-1 mark. Drexel moves to 0-5.

KEY STATS
HR - graduate student Katie Reeg knocked out her second home run of the season, scoring what proved to be the game-winning run
SB - graduate student Emily Daniel and junior Emma Schutter each tallied a stolen base; both now have three on the season
5 - Daniel and Reeg tallied at least one hit in all five games this weekend
4.0 - graduate student Sarah Bailitz worked four scoreless innings in the circle, allowing just one hit to zero walks
4 - sophomore Molly Grace tallied a career-high four assists to go with three putouts at third base
2 - Schutter was 2-for-3 at the plate, her second multi-hit game of the season

Dayton will have 10 days off from competition before returning to the field on the west coast.
