DAYTON – The University of Dayton Women's basketball team fell short against the George Mason Patriots at UD Arena Sunday, 74-50.
The Flyers (10-14, 4-9 A-10) suffer their second loss in a row while the Patriots (19-4, 10-2 A-10) get back on the winning path.
KEY MOMENT

nd Quarter – Entering the second, Dayton and George Mason were tied at 15 apiece, but the visitors outscored the hosts 19-10 in the quarter and never looked back.
1st Quarter: Dayton 15, GMU 15
- Flyers start the game off with a made three from junior Ivy Wolf.
- Graduate student Mariah Perez had two back-to-back buckets to give the Flyers a 7-4 lead with 6:33 left.
- Redshirt senior Destiny Bohanon gets on the board with a made three of her own.
- Dayton ends 2:44 scoring drought with two mid-range baskets from freshman Denika Lightbourne.
- Flyers played tight defense to keep the Patriots tied at 15.
2nd Quarter: Dayton 25, GMU 34
- Dayton got on the board with a mid-range jumper from Bohanon.
- Freshman Eve Fiala made a basket to end the Patriots' 9-0 run.
- Perez made a layup after an assist from senior Taisiya Kozlova.
- Bohanon sunk both free throws in the last 52 seconds of the half.
- George Mason drained a three to end the half.
3rd Quarter: Dayton 37, GMU 49
- Bohanon started Dayton's scoring with a made three.
- Lightbourne got a steal and dumped it to sophomore Nayo Lear for a fastbreak layup.
- The Flyers kept the scoring going with another made three from Bohanon.
- Wolf got to the rim bringing Dayton within 10 with 1:22 left.
- George Mason made a layup of their own giving them a 12-point lead over the Flyers.
4th Quarter: Dayton 50, GMU 74
- George Mason went on an 8-2 run to start the fourth.
- Perez drained both free throws with 5:03 left in the quarter.
- Freshman Riley Rismiller nailed a three coming out of the time-out.
- The Flyers end the Patriots' 9-0 run with a made and-one layup from Lightbourne
- Lear hit a fade-away mid-range jumper to end the game
INSIDE THE NUMBERS
33 – Dayton and George Mason tied with 33 rebounds each.

Destiny Bohanon had a team-high 15 points and hit three threes.

Mariah Perez recorded her third double-double of the season with 12 points and 10 boards in the effort.
8 – The Patriots hit eight threes in the contest to the Flyers five threes.
14 – Mason also had 14 steals in the game.
