LEXINGTON, Ky. - The University of Dayton men's tennis team dropped a pair of matches to No. 6-ranked Kentucky Wednesday, falling 4-0 and 5-0 at the hands of the Wildcats at the Boone Tennis Complex.
The Flyers dropped the doubles point to start the day and were never able to recover against the Wildcats.
UK wrapped up the first match with wins at No. 4, 5 and 6 singles. For Dayton, freshman
Kyle McNally won his first set at No. 3 singles, 6-2, and was trailing a tight battle, 5-3, when the match was finished.
In the day's second match, the two teams skipped straight to singles, where Kentucky won at No. 2 through five. UD's No. 1,
Connor Bruce, locked in a great battle with No. 24-ranked Taha Baadi, falling 7-6 (5) in the first set before the match was called.
Dayton returns to action with three home matches this weekend, starting with Tennessee State on Saturday, Feb. 24 at 4 p.m. at the South Regency Tennis Center
