BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The University of Dayton softball team suffered two setbacks on the final day of the Indiana Invite Monday, falling 3-1 to Oakland followed by an 8-1 loss to the host Hoosiers. Dayton finished the five-game event with a 3-2 record, out-scoring its opponents 39-26.
Dayton is now 10-8 overall while Oakland moved to 7-6 and
RV/RVIndiana is 19-4 on the season.

Emily Daniel collected two stolen bases while junior

Molly Grace tallied a career-high six putouts to go with one assist playing at first base

Elizabeth Shafer (5) combined for half of the team's putouts, splitting time at first base

Nicolette Papavasiliou equaled her career high with three assists working behind the plate
2 - Papavasiliou was 2-for-3 at the plate with two extra-base hits, including her first home run of the season

UP NEXT
The Indiana Invite concluded Dayton's pre-conference schedule and UD will open the Atlantic 10 portion of its 2024 slate this coming weekend with a three-game set at George Mason. The Flyers and Patriots will get underway Saturday at 12 p.m. with a doubleheader at George Mason Softball Complex in Fairfax, Va.
